January 21: Lady Bucs fell to Liberty 64-79 (1/16/12)

Unfortunately the CSU Women's Basketball team fell short on the 16th against Liberty. They played with heart, but just couldn't get the job done. One silver lining was Rachelle Coward's performance, she scored 32 points... yes, half of the Bucs offense!!













And this morning Sam and I got up and went out to get some shots of the sunrise, it was a little cool and overcast, but the sunrise was beautiful.

Lady Bucs beat the Highlanders, 79-69

The Lady Bucs took on the Highlanders of Radford University on Saturday, where they won 79-69. It was their "Pack the House" event, but disappointingly fell a little short of that goal.











Unfortunately, Erin Bratcher was injured during the second half of the game. With 3 starters out to injury now, it will be interesting to see how the Lady Bucs handle the rest of the season.

Second half of the Bucs split...

Before I posted photos from the 1st of two game the CSU Men's Basketball team split. Here's the shots from the loss to Coastal Carolina. It's unfortunate they lost, but what an exciting game!!











They ended up losing in OT (80-77), after Arlon Harper dropped a 3 to tie it up at the end of regulation with only a couple seconds left in the game.

The Bucs Split a Big Weekend

The CSU Men's basketball team played two extremely excited games on Thursday and Saturday. The students hadn't come back so Thursday was fairly quiet in the Buc Dome, but Saturday was rocking!! Here are some shots we got from Thursday's game:













The Bucs beat Campbell University, 91-73.

Some time with our Nephew

We got to spend some time with our nephew over the New Years and he's just SOOO cute, I can't help but share some of the shots I got of him. These were taken either in the hotel room while/after opening some Christmas presents or at the Jacksonville Zoo.

Sam couldn't help herself and got him some hockey gloves... they are pretty precious.

I've already shared this on facebook, but here's my first real attempt at shooting video with my DSLR, and I have to say... while it is difficult, the results are amazing and I'd really like to do some more of it. Now, we'd been at the zoo for a few hours at this point and Brandon was really tired and the music wasn't added by me, it was playing for the kids; there was a Noon Years Eve party going on!!

The First of 2012

To kick things off in 2012 I've decided to post my first attempt at time lapse photography. This is the sunrise while we were in Nashville, TN. Hope you like it!
