December 24th: Merry Christmas!!

The past week has been one of quiet respite, so there hasn't been a whole lot going on. Yesterday, however, Sam and I got up in time to take some sunrise photos. You can see what Sam managed to capture at her new blog.

And with that, may you have a very Merry Christmas filled with the warmth and love of friends and family.

December 18th: One week 'til Christmas!

With only one more week until Christmas, things are getting exciting around here. We're planning out how we're going to spend the holidays, the FedEx and UPS guys are regulars at our house, and there has been quite a bit of exciting basketball in the last week.

We got our new iMac yesterday, and I just have to say: It's AMAZING! I'll leave it at that.

On Wednesday, the CSU Men went downtown and took on the The Citadel. I was really shocked at how few people were there for that game, although classes are out and the College of Charleston was playing Tennessee that night... Anyway, it was a pretty good game and the Bucs came out on top.

Pre-game introductions always involve a display of their verticals...

Here, Saah Nimley came down the court on a fast break and went down hard. It proved to be a bit of scary moment when he tried to get up and fell back down.

The Citadel was having some kind of children's night for this game, and one of the media timeouts provided what is probably my favorite image from the game.

One Friday the Lady Bucs hosted UNC-Wilmington for an 11:30 showdown that saw a Buc Dome packed full of 1st through 5th graders... it was quite the scene.

Rachelle Coward tried to get the Lady Bucs on top with this 3-pointer during the final minutes of the game, but in the end, the Seahawks proved to be too much.

Last night the Men went back downtown to take on the College of Charleston (fresh off their win over Tennessee). TD Bank Arena was full and the atmosphere was great!

The game came down to the final seconds and was thrilling the whole way. When the dust settled, the Cougars downed the Bucs, 70-68.

December 10th: Lots to Catch Up On!!

Lots of stuff going on lately: Christmas is only two weeks away, basketball is in full swing, and Sam is in the midst of getting grades turned in for finals week!! I'm also really excited to announce that we'll be getting a new iMac!! Our photo processing time should be reduced dramatically, I can't tell you how much time we spend just waiting on our trusty (and old) MacBook Pro.

Anyways, on to the good stuff:

November 30th, we went downtown to see the Lady Bucs take on the College of Charleston, where they won, 64-45. I have to say, the lighting was fantastic for photography, which really made it a blast!

Then, on the December 1st, we headed back to the Buc Dome to see the men take on Radford, where they came out on top, 83-78.

Saah Nimley leads the way with a career high night of 22 points to beat Radford 83-78. December 1, 2011

After that, we had a couple days off from shooting until the Lady Bucs made the trip up to Clemson. The game time was moved up on short-notice to noon to allow for Clemson to celebrate their ACC Football Title from the previous night, so it was an interesting atmosphere on campus. Sam, unfortunately, couldn't make the trip with me, so I had to shoot solo. The women really pushed through to pull off the 82-77 upset.

Lakeith Alston (above two photos), by the way, dominated in this game, earning her the Big South Conference's Women's Basketball Player of the Week.

In a last bit of exciting news, my photos found their way to into the following stories:

Buccaneer's Balance Key Against Keydets (unfortunately, we missed this game as well, so this, again, is from the Radford game)
