It's my Birthday!!

I've been getting ready for my big move to Hawaii and working on some personal projects while I'm on leave. It's been nearly a month since I've written a blog post (shame on me) so I'm not going to explain any of the photos, instead, I'll just share some of my favorites from the last month. There's been baseball (a big trip to Columbia to see the two year reigning National Champion Gamecock baseball team), softball, and a visit from some family... as always, to see a larger version, just click on the image!

Failure to CommunicateAn uncharacteristic moment for the Gamecocks as Adam Matthews (26, South Carolina) and Erik Payne (30, South Carolina) fail to communicate and miss a fly ball sent to shallow right field. The Buccaneers lost to the Gamecocks 5-2. March 13, 2012

400mm's and the Referee/Umpire conspiracy

Yesterday and today I shot some CSU baseball using Canon's 400mm f/2.8L IS lens... that thing is a BEAST! There's certainly a steep learning curve when stepping up to that monster (it weighs 11.8 lbs).

Before I post more game photos, I wanted to share something... Scott Kelby mentioned this in his blog a while ago (Scott Kelby's blog), but here is more evidence of the Referee/Umpire Conspiracy Against Photographers (which I hereby call RUCAP).

On to the good stuff...
